I have a wonderful young Ismaili doctor joining me in practice.
She is very bright, and comes from a superb family back ground and I have to say I could not have wished for a better colleague!
I know nothing about Ismaili etiquette. I've read up on the history but I need help with the does and don'ts.
I'm hoping that someone here could give me a primer on things I should and should not do in order to not make her or her parents uncomfortable.
Thank you so much!
Please help me with etiquette!
The primer is very easy. Ismaili values and Ethic are mostly the same as Canadian values and Ethics. This is also explains why Ismailis do integrate faster with the general Canadian population then any other groups of new comers.
Just make sure to be polite, not to do any mean or nasty remarks about her family or friends, respect her for what she is and for her professional achievements and you will notice the dedication to work and to clients like you have rarely seen
