Unknown Ginan

Post by Saima »

I heard a Ginan in Jamat Khana a few days back. I don't remember anything from it but that the phrase "Re Lol" was repetitive and it was from Pir Shams. Any idea?

This is one of the Garbis (songs of dance) of Pir Shamsh.

It is called gur kahere gaafalo saa(m)bhallore lol and can be accessed in the Ginans Section.

Pir Shams has wrote 28 Garabis and all these Garabis has" RE LOL" after each line. This is a tradition even now in Hindu culture in GARABI or GARABA to put 'RE LOL" it has no meaning with the Garabi or Garbas message but it is just use to make Garabi's rag better after RE LOL all participants in Garaba should clap.
'Re Lol" does not have any connection with 'LOL'(Laugh out laud) which usually used during Chat.
