Hi,
I wasn't sure which other section to post this under...hopefully someone here can answer my question. I've been learning about Ismailism for the past few months and have read everything I could get my hand on, mostly online since I couldn't find any books about it at the local library. I'm seriously considering converting. My question is, how do I go about it? I haven't found anything anywhere that talks about how a non-Ismaili can become an Ismaili. Do I just need to contact to local Jamatkhana and tell them that I'm interested in converting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ya Aly Madad Learning,
I think the first step is to write a letter of Intent where you explain the reason you want to convert to Ismailism to the local Tariqah Board Chairman/Chairperson and then you should be called by someone to answer some questions and then you have your 1st interview where I think you meet with your personal Tutor who guides you in the study of the Faith of Ismailism. After that it is your naseeb.
