Subject: Volunteer Teacher
HOAP (Helping Oppressed and Powerless People) Foundation is basically a registered welfare organization operational in Pakistan especially in Northern Areas and Chitral. Main objective of the organization is to reach un-reached and address un-attended issues of the marginalized communities of remotest areas.
Following are some activities/projects initiated by the HOAP Foundation Pakistan to support poorest families of Northern Areas in education and social development:
Children Education Support Program
HOAP is sponsoring 1000 children of poorest families by providing school fee, books, cloths, shoes and stationary items.
Most of these children are orphans whose families can not afford educational expenses.
HOAP has committed to support these children upto 10 years.
Women Development Centre
HOAP has established Women Development Centre in Gilgit to facilitate and support talented female students of the poorest families of far flung areas of Northern areas who are studying in best educational institutions of Gilgit town.
Women Development Centre has two components i.e. Residence for 64 female students with full facilities and training centre consisting of computer laboratory and English Language Class, Coaching Classes and facility of seminars/workshops.
The main objective of establishing Women Development Centre in Gilgit is to train female students of remote areas in life skills like Computer, English Language, Cooking and Washing in addition to their studies.
These trained female students will play vital role in holistic development of communities of under privileged areas of Northern Areas.
Scholarships
HOAP offers scholarships to those students who are talented but their parents can not effort educational expenses. Sofare 400 most deserving students have been given scholarships.
Capacity Building
HOAP is supporting projects related to education and social development initiated by the communities on self help basis.
Help Needed
HOAP Northern areas need the help of female volunteer teacher to run the English Language Classes for 64 female residents of Women Development Centre. Volunteer teacher should committed for at least 6 months to stay in Northern areas. HOAP will fully facilitate the volunteer teacher by providing free lodging boarding and security during stay in Northern Areas. HOAP will also arrange exposure trips to various historical places of Northern Areas.
