Ismaili and other Faith comparative religion

Post by Funklebits »

Ya Ali Madad,

I hope Allah (swt) has blessed and kept you all safe.

I have spent a fair amount of time studying the Ismaili faith and I must say that it has been most enjoyable. I have also greatly enjoyed reading a ton of threads on this site. Some of those threads are like the wild lands, no hold barred debates that are filled with passion, knowledge, and wisdom. However, search as I might I can't seem to find a solid book on a comparison between Ismaili's and other faiths.

Thank you in advance.

Try to fin "Histoire de la philosophie Islamique" of Henry Corbin, it has been translated in so many languages including Japanese and you will find there comparison of some concepts of Ismailism with other philosophies and faiths.

In his Memoirs, MSMS explains the concept of Islam and how it is different from other faiths in the chapter: ISLAM THE RELIGION OF MY ANCESTORS. It can be accessed online at:

Understanding Ismaili Muslim faith and comparing it , is not possible without first understanding the “authority role and mandate” exercised by the Imams of Ismaili Muslims - Link to more http://www.ismaili.net/html/modules.php ... pic&t=9224

Sorry for the delay in reply, but I have read and re-read this and I am still not sure i fully understand what you mean by this example.
