Defy physics?

Post by star_anonymous »

Is it true that people who reach high in bandagi, that they are showered with gifts, and that many of them can defy the laws of physics and fly?

In the following excerpt of an article that appeared in the latest issue of Self Realization Magazine, Paramahansa Yogananda explains how it is possible for an elevated soul to defy the laws of physics.

“The universe, being a product of Divine Mind, can be changed by Divine Mind at any time. God’s will created all things through condensation of His invisible ideations into the light of life energy and thence into atomic matter. God-realized souls who are in tune with the Divine Will can instantaneously produce any desired changes in matter, including the human body, by concentrated thought, which acts on and restructures the subtle energy matrix underlying each material form. As the energy in man’s body can be directed by his will to initiate or influence the movement of any bodily part or function, so also, by omnipresent Divine Will, any vibratory movement effecting atomic changes can be initiated in any body, in any thing, and at any place, no matter how far distant.”

Poem of St. Teresa of Avila on the universe as a ball!

Post by kmaherali »

The following verse from St. Teresa of Avila, illustrates the power of elevated souls to transcend the laws of physics and influence and manipulate this universe.

THE GRAIL

They are like shy, young school kids - time and space,
before the woman and the man who are
intimate with God.

The realized soul can play with this universe
the way a child can a ball.

A chalice-the Grail - my body became, for it held the Christ
and He drank
from me.

Sanctified are our limbs,
for every heart has touched God, though most with closed eyes.

A holy relic is each creature, and beauty may worry
about its comeliness waning.

We fear dying till we know the truth of ourselves.

The seams on my body
are torn;

I have stepped from that region of me
that did not love
all the
time.

There is a divine world of light
with many suns in
the sky.

I slept with my Lord
one night,

now all that is luminous
I know we

conceived.

No, I do not believe the laws of physics can be defied. Hopefully, I one day intend to become a physicist, and I simply do not believe the laws of physics can be defied. If they are, however, then I will simply be in awe, and the scientific world as we know it will be changed forever. Just my view. 8)

All you need to do is to visit the quantum world! You will find that no laws of physics exist there in the sense of explaining events. It is all random, uncertain and probabilistic. The laws of physics are constantly being defied! You may may want to see the presentation of String Theory in the Current Issues section of this forum. They have a section for quantum world there.

Yup, I did consider string theory and quantam physics before I had considered posting my reply, however, they are only theories that haven't been "proven" to the extent that the current laws of physics have. Though there is much evidence supporting quantam physics / string theory and such, it hasn't been proven to be certain, but I guess nothing can be certain in physics eh? heheh :D

Absolute Zero

I have reason to believe that experiments done at 0 degrees Kelvin (Absolute Zero) defy the laws of physics as we know it.
