Importance of Tasbih?

You see I have been trying to understand what is the significance of tasbih. Some people see it as a calculator to count how many times you have said Allah's names, while others see it as an object of great significance. I am not sure where I stand on this issue, but was wondering if there was anything in the Farmans and the Ginans about the importance of a tasbih.

I did see one reference in the Farman where Hazir Imam says something like that if you don't have time to say dua then take your tasbih and say Ya Ali Ya Muhamad.

I think you mean rosary as a tool to help meditate and/or count the names to keep the concentration, right? I think its just a tool, has not significant religious meaning, unless someone corrects me.
