"The World Struck Gold"
by Harmohanjit Singh Pandher (copyright 2007)

You're our father, you're our mother
A precious rock unlike any other
When Allah crowned you the world struck gold
And you keep giving back ten thousand fold
Bringing our children in from the cold
Giving the forgotten a hand to hold
A golden example for the young and the old
The light of Allah's in you for all to behold
A fifty year story so true that still unfolds
You're our pride, you're our prince
A shining jewel ever since Allah crowned you and the world struck gold
And you keep giving back ten thousand fold
Improving the lives of all in your fold
Proving that right's better done than told
A guiding rainbow for every lost soul The light of Allah's in you for all to behold
A fifty year story so true that still unfolds
You're our teacher, you're our treasure
A heart of gold beyond any measure
When Allah crowned you the world struck gold
And you keep giving back ten thousand fold
Unearthing kindness from the deepest hole
Producing diamonds from the darkest coal
A guardian angel with wings of gold
The light of Allah's in you for all to behold
A fifty year story so true that still unfolds
When Allah crowned you the world struck gold
When Allah found you the world struck gold
When Allah made you we all struck gold
When Allah made you he broke the mold
