Mowla ke huzur ki mehmani

Post by Aly_shallwani »

I wanted to ask that in mowla ke huzur ki mehmani there is an auction like thing!and when jamat bids mehmani it gets higher and higher, there are poor people as well as rich ones,so how a poor person would present mowla ke huzur ki mehmani?and when a person walks for dua karawi infront of every body' every individual steers at him,in my opinion its a bit awkward,it should be like if any person wants to present Hazir imam a mehmani,he should give it to mukhi saheb when all the people stands for dua karawi.but i asked the same question to my elder friend,he told me that only one individual in jamat khana has a right at that day,to present mowla papa a mowla ke huzur ki mehmani, when he bids till last.

i think each an every individual is equal in mowla papa's eyes and it shoud'nt be like this, please correct me if i am wrong..

You need to study the significance of this act and why it's offered - and what it is - before you talk about removing it.

As per one waez I listend of Rai Abu Ali this kind Mehmani is not new it is coming since Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) and our first Imam Hazart Mowla Murtaza Ali (SAS)
We shold know the significant and importance of this great tradition of the Mehamani, however lots of young Jamati Members raises lot of questions similar like this of our ceremonies and rites but it is totaly up to us wether we should offer mehamni or not nobody force us.

mehmani

the person who wants to give a mehmani would give it with out thinking of any body, either infront of every body or alone, actually i am not criticizing the person who bids, because its easy to criticize but hard to take out money from the pocket. The main problem is that what about poor people? making it simple, this ritual should be equal for all the people.

If you understand the concept - you'll understand that the sawab is shared amongst the members of the ghat jamat.

If we live to poor people to get the highest amount in the Mehmani, we will not be able to get a lot of money and therefore will not be able to help the poor people nor to redistribute the money from consenting and encouraging rich people to poor people. The Imam has said that Karsaji money is needed in any religion for the functioning of the worldly matters.

There is a confusion in our community that Nandi should be for poor people, mehmani should be for poor people etc... this is just a lack of understanding of traditions and ceremonies.

i think what ALY is trying to say is " what if our poor ismaili brother wants to give mehmani to our imam but cudnt do it as he cannot compete with the riches "

mehmani starts from minimum 501 rs/- in india now if the poor guy is making 3000 a month then how can he afford to give mehmani ??? its not like if mehmani starts fom minimum 501 it wud b sold in tht price, it might go to 1k or 10k, then what about this poor guy ????

mehmani or nandi is not for rich or the poor my fren, [mehmani and nandi r made especially for our imam] but v all know that our imam wont b in every jk physically so what we do is we auction the nandi/mehmani

but again if there is chicken biryani the seller will raise the price

for ex: if the auction of dal/roti is started from 15/- ,biryani will start from 30/- [almost double]

when a person cannot afford to eat biryani in restaurants where is costs 50/- or 60/- a plate do u think he will buy nandi whose auction starts from 30/- and god knows where it ends .

forget this if a person cannot even afford to buy him a dal roti which sells for 25 or 30 rupees how can he even dream of biryani [ unless he'z invited to somebodies marriage reception then thats different ]

The conclusion which i got from this discussion at last is

"we will not be able to get a lot of money and therefore will not be able to help the poor people nor to redistribute the money from consenting and encouraging rich people to poor people. The Imam has said that Karsaji money is needed in any religion for the functioning of the worldly matters."

I think its a good reason to bid!and have a auction like thing init!i just wanted to ask Admin about what is that 'Karsaji money'is it all that money which jamat presents mowla papa?like mehmani ,dasond, nandi money etc???
