Sood, Interest, Lease is Haram in our TARIKA?

Post by SalmanLakhani »

Yaa Aly Madad

Sood, Interest, Leasing car etc... are Haram in our Ismaili Tarika?

what I understand is Sood can be Haram if we are trying to get benefit from some poor ones need. Well but if bank is giving us loan to ehnace or betterment of our life style, can give quality education to our younger and ordinary people can raise his income and one Jobby guy can get a small lease car, as we all know these days transport is also a basic need of human.

I think Paying interest rate may be Sin, but this way bank is providing benefits for humanity, Isn't it? and helping Humanity is more benefitial as compare to that sin as molana Romi Says:

Sehatmand Aadmi Halwa Kha Sakta he.
I think you guys understand what was his mean?

Any Farman or Ginan about Interest or sood or Loan or Leasing?
As we all knows Mola bapa's Bank Micro Finance is also helping many people in my country and mashAllah Jamat and Imam and Govt all are too happy with MICRO Finance Bank performace since last couple of years.

Your Valuable thoughts will be appreciable. or any other forum where this matter already discussed?

Thanks

I do not know from religious point of view about Interest but their are many article and studies available that have found that interest by the bank generaly harm economics instead of doing good. As far as Hazar Imam doing well he is King he owns the planet earth and can do any thing he wants to. we should not compare ourself with him rules are their for us not for him Period.

If interest/lease/rent represent legitimate cost of doing business, then it is permissible so long as the motivation is not excessive profits.

In my opinion it is legitimate to borrow funds so long as the intention is there to repay the amount borrowed. If the funds borrowed are for business then the amount paid for interest should be considered as the cost of doing business and should be deducted from the income before the calculation of the Dasond.

If the amount is for personal reasons, then interest should not be deducted before the calculation of Dasond.

funny!,
1] if u lend money to some1 without charging him interest then all ur earning is halal
why would i lend u money even if i have excess amount , why can't i utilize that money on my self rather then giving to others??

please i need a logical reply! if u can

if u read the calculation of interest its actually RISK FREE RATE (a COUNTRY RISK RATE + INFLATION of COUNTRY ) + Bank Spread

as computation banks keep very low spread and

if u see what is spread in terms of Banking system?? it is

cost of operations + profit

heartbreakkid, i think you need to read something about economics or correct me if i am wrong

Let say you live in Zimbabwe

You lent without interest 20 million Zimbabwe dollars for one year in 2007 And this amount allows your friend to buy 2,000 bananas when he get s this money at that time.

Your "Muslim" brother gives you back without interest after a year in 2008 your 20 million Zb which because of the loss of value and inflation now only allows you to buy one banana.

1. Are you going banana over the whole matter
2. Are you going to sue Mugabe?
3. Are you going to strangle your Muslim brother for eating all your interest money that could have allowed you to maintain the value of your money and buy 2,000 bananas after a year?
4. Are you going to think that some people do not know how to live in accordance to their time and place?
Add you own...

But if you are real Muslim who do not take interest [or name it dividend whatever, it does not change the fact that it is interest whatever you call it] and if you are willing to lend me some trillions of Zimbawe dollars without interest, please let me know. I am sure most of the surfer here will support you in your endeavor ;-)

By the way one trillion Zimbabwe dollars today in 2009 only buys few bananas ;-)
