Passing of Rai Abualy Aziz

Post by ShamsB »

It is with great sadness that I post this information on the board at around 10.45 am PDT - Missionary Abualy left us.

Please pray for the eternal rest and peace of his soul.

Missionary Rai Abualy Aziz was a good person. He had a wealth of knowledge and did share it for decades with the Jamat. May Mowlana Hazar Imam take him in His Noor. Ameen.

We are working on saving some of his legacy and will have within few months a full mp3 format searchable audio waez section on the Heritage Web Site.

We have started uploading few of his waez on our new server, you can download them [These are huge files that need a good internet link]

For his waez go directly to http://ismaili.net/heritage/audio/by/ar ... u_aly_aziz

With the passing away of Al Waez Amlani recently and Abualy Missionary today, both in Vancouver we have lost not only some of our pillars in Canada but we have lost also role models for the generations to come. They will always be remembered with affection and respect by the Jamat worldwide.

A biography of Abualy Missionary by Mumtaz Ali Tajjdin is at:

AS RECEIVED

Re: Demise of Missionary Rai Dr. Abualy A. Aziz

It is with profoundest sadness, sorrow and pain that I wish to inform my spiritual brothers and sisters that Missionary Abualy (88 ½ years of age) departed this world today around 10:15 am PST in Vancouver. The passing away of this intellectual giant of the 20th Century da`wa is indeed a tremendous loss for the jamats around the world in general, particularly for the Indian Subcontinent, Africa and North America Jamats. My family, friends and admirers of Missionary Abualy beseech Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with the very best of the next world. Ameen. His funeral ceremonies will take place as follows:

Wednesday 7th May, 2008

Condolence to Family Members at Darkhana, Vancouver

Thursday 8th May, 2008

Funeral Ceremonies to be held at Burnaby Lake Jamatkhana

Ziarat at Darkhana, Vancouver

The biography mentions:

"Missionary Abu Aly believes that a man is never too old to learn. It is good news to know that he obtained his doctorate degree of Ph.D. on April 30, 2001 from the Senior University International, Wyoming, U.S.A. after studying for 29 months. His thesis, Miracles and Gnosis, described the life and work of Pir Satgur Nur in 200 pages."

Is the above thesis available for others' reading? Anyone have information?

It was with great sense of loss when we heard of Missionary Abualy death. Dr. Abualy was more than just a missionary, was always so kind and gentle like a mother. And, we know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. His generosity of treasure, knowledge, and wisdom have seen from mountains Pamir till Moscow Russia. Our Mualim (teacher) knew how much we loved him, he will remain within our hearts, and have included our Mualim in our daily prayers.

With our deepest sympathy, his students from Russian Federation and some of former Republics of USSR.

Passing of Beloved Missionary Abu Aly

Post by Murid110 »

The passing of Dr. Rai Missionary Abu Aly Aziz has brought great pain and a severe sense of loss amongst my family and ismaili friends. It was extremely hard for me when I heard that he had just passed away yesterday. His waezes and persistant preaching of love towards Imam-e-zaman has made an Ismaili murid out of me. Not only has his teachings touched the hearts of millions of Ismaili murids from the Khoja tradition, but Ismaili murids as above mentioned from Tajik (former USSR republics) and Afgan traditions. His guidence, preaching, love, and legacy will remain forever in our hearts. Truely it was a blessing to be have such a loving missionary/Alim and Ulaima that has shown us the right path. May peace always be with him.

Indeed a tragic loss for all Ismaili community, we lost a legend, knowledable Alwaiz for all time, There are too many Alwaiz and Alwaiza around the world but no body comes close to Rai Abualy with his deep knowledge in Ismailisam, ginan.

He definitely was great sprit (Rooh). I know many people whose religious and spiritual life has changed because of wa’azes. The most important and amazing things that makes Ismaili mazhab intelectually rational I and we all learn from him (of course he extract all from Holy Ginans for us all) are:

1) God and sprits before creation of world.

2) Creation of world

3) Darvin’s theory is parallel to religious beliefs

4) Das (10) Avtar linked and related to our religious beliefs

5) Concepts of : 4-Yoog (Joog), 4-Kalap, Karan,

6) Adams before this Adam

7) Imamat was promised and started from Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S. )

8) Hazrat Ali (Jalali) And Hazrat Nabi Mohammad (Jamali) Manifestation of God.

9) Imam is NOOR in the body Imam, not the body itself.

10) Deedar is seeing Noor-e- Imam

11) What is current Imam doing is a great preparation and part of Zahoor

12) Situations before Zahoor

13) Daeent Kalinga’s appearance, power and end

14) Restart of Sat-Yoog in second decade of next century and rein of Imam

I feel I am indebt of his many thanks and prayers for him for the wealth of knowledge he gave me that 3-master degees in science (2 in Physics) could not give me.

This is this sick person coming back. Just ignore him, please do not reply. Any person replying to this psycho will have his account deleted. I can auto-delete this guy but then if I have to delete all you guys replying to him, it will just increase my workload as I have to go through each email finding who has quoted him and who has replied to him.

Can't you realize how desperate this guy is? Insulting his own parents, is there any person in this world with worse psychiatrist problem [see his next message will be - Admin is saying I am a psycho but only Jesus can save etc...] Just ignore him, he is not worth it. Let the server delete periodically all his entries and his account. Just pray for his soul and forgive him.

I met him a couple of years ago in Scarborough JK library. We talked briefly and he gently caressed my face as if I was his grandson when he learned that I was so interested in learning more about our wonderful faith. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Ameen!
