What is the difference between Tasbih and Zikar (Dhikr).
Which one is important. Tasbih or Zikar
zikr or Dhikr
The word Dhikr translated means Remembrance.
so if I think of someone and especially if I mention them to somebody I would say "Mainae aap ka dhikr kiya tha"
In our faith it is the silent internal action of our thought that lingers on one of the names like "Ya Aly" and continues to constantly reflect upon the meaning which is "the Most High" seeking to come closer and closer in understanding "Aly" by calling upon him from the innermost recesses of our being.
It is the secret to salvation.

Tasbih is recited only for some incentive i,e for mushkil Asan or forgineness of sins or for any worldly or spiritual benefits while Zikr in true sense is nothing but selfless rememberance of your beloved God without any incentive not even for spiritual gains. It is done because He is so lovley (MASHUQ) that we can only do His zikr for every moment, every breath.... no incentive. because in Ishq, one has to surrender everything, jan, mal, aulad, aabru. Now let Him do whatever He thinks better for us.
One needs to get oneself out from the orbit of tasbih and asking. Just surrender and be in His Zikr.
May Mowla give courage and Mansoori Iman to acheive the ultimate Truth.
