Verse 100 of Moman Chetamni

Can any one explain this verse of Moman Chetmani
Eji Tene mari musllaman karya
Hindu hata teno nahi koie shumar
Din pota no zaher kariyo
Tena Nabi Mohammed ne kidha sardar Cheto....

Here the confusing thing is tene mari muslman kariya...

The following are verses 99 & 100 and their meanings.

99) Eji Mowla Murtaza Ali duniya mahain zaher thaye
Teni kudrat no nahi koie paar
Dine islam aethi payda thayo
Te karame mathe thi utarya duldul ne zulfiqar Cheto....

99. So Momins, God has proclaimed Himself in Hazrat Ali and there is no
end to what He can do. He gave us Islam and then came to us riding Dul Dul and with Zulfiqar (sword) in His hand.

100) Eji Tene mari musllaman karya
Hindu hata teno nahi koie shumar
Din pota no zaher kariyo
Tena Nabi Mohammed ne kidha sardar Cheto....

100. He conquered them and converted them to Islam and no Hindus were left. The momins could practise their religion openly and Prophet Muhammed was their leader.

I am not sure what could be so confusing. Hazarat Ali had a sword and obviously there was a purpose for having it - to slay or conquer the enemies so that Islam could be practised.

The translation here is : "The people were converted to Islam and no Hindus were left. They could practise their religion openly and Prophet Muhammed was their leader."

Confusing term is tene mari muslman kariya...seems to means like they were forcefully converted and thus no idol worshippers (hindus) were left.

The line following the statement states that they were able to practice their faith freely, implying that the persecutors and trouble makers were subdued by force.

But that happened with every avtar. They came to destroy the evil and create enabling conditions for devotees to practice their faith.

The statement could also mean 'he conquered the devil and converted others'.

Also the sword Zulfikar does not have to be physical. It can be spiritual/intellectual, hence 'tene maari' could mean he destroyed false concepts.

There is hadith which says 'I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the gate'.
