Ya Ali Madad
I have heard briefly from stories that Hazrat Salman Farsi(as) was really in his true form arch-angel Jibrail. Is this true, and could anyone elaborate more on this?

Hazrat Salman Farsi
The following is an article from "Concise Encyclopedia of Islam" by Cyril Glasse.
Salman the Persian (Salmon al-Farisi). A Companion who was so close to the Prophet as to be called by him a member ot the family (ahl al-bayt). Salman was a Persian who, after becoming a Christian, followed various teachers to Syria. Learning from one of them of the imminent advent of a Prophet in Arabia, he went there. After being betrayed, he was sold into slavery and brought to Yathrib, the town destined to become Madinat an-Nabi ("the city of the Prophet"). When the Prophet arrived, Salman recognized him as the one foretold.
Among the signs of which Salman had heard was that this Prophet would have a large lump at the bottom of his back, a symbol of the Seal of Prophecy. One dav when Salman was close to the Prophet and filled with thoughts about this sign, the Prophet, who was facing the other way, nonetheless sensed what was preoccupying Salman, and he let his cloak drop from his shoulders. When Salman saw the sign he leaped forward and kissed it.
With the Prophet's help he bought his freedom trom slavery and went on to become one of the most important figures of early Islam, ending his life as a governor in the newly conquered regions ot Iraq during the Caliphate of 'Umar or 'Uthman. Salman is a link in many initiatic chains (salasil, sing, silsilah), of the Sufis. He is credited with the idea of defending Medina trom the attack of the clans allied with the Quraysh, or the Ahzab, by building a trench around the city. Referred to by its Persian name khandaq, this stratagem was unknown to the Arabs, and it confounded the attacking army.
Possibly because of his role as one who offered the Prophet crucial and, one might even say, arcane advice, certain Dualist sects on the fringe of Islam have attributed some curious identities to Salman al-Farisi. Some have said that he was the Angel Gabriel in disguise; the 'Alawis make of him one, and perhaps the highest, of three aspects ot Divine theophany along with the Prophet and 'All ibn Abu Talib; others have seen in him a secret "Divine emanation". As a foreigner in Medina, Salman has been assigned the role Allogenes ("he who is born elsewhere") by those sects who are inspired by a so-called "Sethian" Hermetic tradition.
The significance of Salman's being providentially very close to the Prophet in his lifetime has been interpreted more convincingly as foreshadowing the great role that the Persian genius was to play in Islam. Salman represented the very spirit of the nation that provided so many of the great thinkers, theologians, doctors, philosophers, and scientists who brought the power of their synthesizing imagination and inspiration to shape the historical development of Islam.

as per my knowledge even in 12ver Hazart Salman Farsi r.a is not counted as Imam!, but as the Slave/Follower of Imam! like Hazart Abu Zar Ghafari r.a
yes! indeed he was one of the best Sahaba of Prophet pbuh & Ali a,s & Ahale Bait , but he was not Imam nor Masoom!
the same is the view point of Ismailies!
i know you will qoute me that Prophet pbuh said that "Salman is from my Ahale Bait"
but! as per Shia Ahale Bait ( in term of Quranic Context ) apply only as per Hadith e Kisa
