Ya Ali madad wa assamalu aleikum min Maula Hazir Imam!
From what I understand, Ismailism has a Sufi and Buddhist/Hindu view on desire and attachment.
It's Buddhist/Hindu in that Ismailism believes that desires lead to attachment, specifically attachment to this worlds and its superficialities.
It's Sufi in that one is actually encouraged to develop a desire and attachment with God - symbolized by the Hazir Imam - and to yearn for union with God and for His love, mercy, and grace.
Thus, one is encouraged to remain wary of the world, do what is only necessary in the world, and focus one's emotions, energy, hopes, aspirations, and outlook on the spiritual world.
Is this accurate?

Desire and Attachment in Ismailism
desire
desire in the ginans
aash toe ek alakh ni kije awar sarve aash niraash
desire only he who nothing can be written about (allah) all other desires are unhappiness
jeev lagaiye zikr su toe saacha surijan paas
attach your self to the zikr and you will be next to THE truely pure ONE.
it is to see the creator in his creation after becoming fanafillah in my humble opinion
