Ismaili Pirs and Hindu mythology

Post by kandani »

What do you think of the Hindu mythology used by Ismaili Pirs in the Ginans?

A. The use of Hindu mythology was merely a conversion tactic and is no longer important.

B. The Pirs were actually "revealing" the true message of Hinduism, and thus Hindu mythology is actually religious history of a time long ago, and thus should be remembered and reflected upon.

C. The Hindu mythology was purely allegorical and should not be interpreted historically, but it should be relfected upon and remembered.

I think your point B is correct.
A topic similar to this was discussed in section of Ginans.
Shamsu wrote there
1945 MISSION CONFERENCE

Juma Bhagat had asked about the word meaning fish to be changed in the dua.
IMAM SMS stated something to the effect...
If that is the case then we should stop the dua alltogether. He then explained...
When all life on earth was in the form of fishes the Imam had to be in the form of a fish to guide them.

It just stands to reason that in order to guide the Imam would have to be in the form of the ones being guided.

Life on earth started in water and I think the QURAN states that too. "Dirty water" if I recall correctly.

In the 6th vol of Rise and fall of the Roman Empire (7 vols) it states that Imam Hakim in Egypt, 2 generations prior to Pir Sat Gur Noor going to Indian subcontinent, stated that he was the highest manifest form of God on earth. He also stated that he had come 9 times prior to this tenth manifestation.

Ref: Missionary Mohammedaly Bhimani,

Imam SMS 48th Imam had signed a photograph with a statement written under his photograph stating that he is the tenth Avatar and given to Missionaries

miracle of Hazir Imam in year 1991 at Karachi deedar
When Hazar Imam left Garden Jamat Khana on On November 6th at 7:00 pm, a

large crowd had gathered near the road. Amongst the throng of Muslims

stood

two Hindu ladies who were waiting for the Imam. Because of the heavy

rush,

the Aga Khan Volunteers were forced to cordon off the crowd with a rope.

As

the car approached the women, Imam moved from one side of the seat to the

other, opened the window and revealed His Holy Face. Just then, the rope

broke exactly where these women were standing. They stepped forward

towards

the car and received the Imam's Holy Didar. Imam then closed the window.

The

Ismaili Volunteers were astonished at this incident. When the Imam

departed,

they approached the women and asked about it. The women said, "We are not

Muslims, but Hindus. Our lord Krishna told us in a dream last night thst

He

would make His appearance on a road neat the Jamat Khana of the Khoja

Ismailis in the midst of a large crowd. Indeed, today we have seen our

Lord!"

Pir were not liars. They said truth.Abu Ali and Bahadur Ali missionary are not in favour of changing the verses of Ginans.

The word hindu or hinduism is not mention in Quran or Hadith.
The people of Arab were not HINDUS.
Our PIRS were not hindus they were not just ordinary muslims but AAl-e-Rasool. It is not appropriate to say that there is teachings of hinduism in Ginans. Ginans are teachings of Quran. From Ginans we get knowlege about true Islam and true religion. Not a single verse of Ginan is false or wrong.Pirs are not liars.

Straight Path

Post by shamsu »

Are you going to stay on the straight path or start reflecting upon the destination too.

The straight path is a means to an end. Never Forget that. Keep your eyes on the path but dont miss the destination in trying to stay on the path my friend.

Where does the path lead?

Anyway who do you think is the only one who knows the straight path.

maybe we should follow what he says because he is the only one who knows the straight path.

and what ever he says is known as his Farmans

So follow the Farmans of Imame Zamaan if you want to stay on the straight path.

BECAUSE THE FARMANS OF IMAME ZAMAAN ARE THEMSELVES THE STRAIGHT PATH.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS EPHEMERAL.

These are my personal opinions and should be reflected upon with the eye of your own heart as the path starts and ends right there.
