but dont u think it is exposing also those things which even most the person within us donot uderstand so what people will think about our religion . Even council dont recomend / encourage this kind of sites altough it provides lot of information but wht is wrong is wrong. dont u think

Dear Salman,

This site has never pretended to be the voice of any organisation except that of the Heritage Society.

Take whatever is usefull to you and leave whatever is of no use to you.

God has given to each one of us an intellect and we have to use it for our own benefit and for the benefit of the community at large. If we do not do that, we have just wasted our life in vain.

My answer is
IT IS COORECT. YOU SAID COUNCIL NOT ENCOURAGE IT BUT FROM HERE YOU CAN GET CORRECT INFORMATION ABOUT RELIGION.IT IS VERY BAD THING THAT MANY OF US DO NOT KNOW ABOUT ISMAILISM THERFORE YOU SAID PERSON WITHIN US DO NOT UNDERSTAND. WHY???? WHY IF WE WILL NOT TELL THEM THEN HOW THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH. HERE YOU WILL FIND GINANS WITHOUT CHANGINGS OF WORDS LIKE HARI ETC.YOU WILL FIND WHAT IS CORRECT AND TRUTH WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SENSORSHIP THATS WHY THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SITE.

YESTERDAY I HEARD IN A WAEZ THAT IT IS WRONG TO DISCUSS OR TO TELL THE INFORMATION ABOUT ISMAILISM TO NON ISMAILIS.
SO IS THIS SAFE TO DISCUSS IN THIS FORUM ABOUT ISMAILISM SINCE NON ISMAILIS CAN ALSO READ. MISSIONARY ALSO TOLD THAT SOME NON ISMAILIS EVEN HAVE COPIES OF FARMAN AND THE ISMAILIS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THEM FARMAN ARE SINFUL SO PLEASE DELETE THE FARMANS WHICH I HAVE POSTED IN MY ANY POST.

The IIS is publishing lots of books and info on Ismailism and all people Ismailis and non-Ismailis alike are reading those. Maybe the missionary should ask IIS not to publish any books on Ismailism...

if my memory serves me right Rasoolillah had a hadith of travelling to CHINA if in the quest of KNOWLEDGE.

Now there were no muslims in china that I can remember during the time that Nabisaheb was Alive.

So whatever knowledge u strive for, even if it is available in a country without muslims, you should travel to it.

NOW WOULD YOU RATHER READ FARHAD DAFTARY OR AN ISMAILI PIR?

If I love my Imam then am I going to wait for his farman to be printed by his appointed "imperfect" Leaders, or am I going to go for it like a fish on dry land takes to water.

has our Imam EVER made a Farman saying do not read or listen to my farmans unless they are printed by my Leaders. Please inform me ASAP if that is the case.

yam : thanks for agreeing me, b/c whts true remains true. if council discourages things like that ther is obviously some reason. Regarding response from some of my friend, tht IIS also publish books which r read by non ismilies, but my friend books like tht dont deal with basic concepts of our religion like is iamm is allah or not? ----- and many others issues raised in sites like this . If its correct then why dont we start preaching openly , obviously we cant u know and i know the reason. SO MY HUMBLE REQUEST(WHICH I CAN DO ) THAT SITES LIKE FIELD SHOULD BE DISCOURAGE AND SHOULD BE STOPPED FOR FURTHER PROMTION. sorry admin wht ithink is correct iam doing it thanks .<BR><BR>regards SALMAN<BR>

Salman, you are entitled to your opinion.

The strenght of web sites such as FIELD web site of the Heritage Society, is that it does not try to restrict the intellect of the ismailis like some happily do. You know that the Imam has said that when you limit the intellectual freedom of the believers it engenders a vacum which is then filled by evil forces...

Each person is free to come to this web site or not to come to this web site. Each is free to partiicipate actively or not to participate, there is no compulsion.

But if you choose to come here, you have to respect this site. One can not go as a guest to a place, be it public or private, and start putting dirt on the walls. As far as we all agree to this, I have no objection to any message of any visitor posting as guest.

Dear star_munir,

Even though I believe that having people give Waez can be very enlightening, it does not mean that they are all-knowing. We have had people in our Jamat who gave a Waez, but yet could not tell us for instance the proper meaning of sukreet. Missionaries unfortunately do not know all the answers and therefore we have to use our own common sense and knowledge when struggling with questions of faith. Forums such as these help us gain knowledge and form our own opinions.

sorry to say but without struggling and wht all we want ready made things. same problem is here , not always but ther is . we can solve our problems tru missioneries in tariqah board and even if they dont satisfy iam 101% sure if u do 4-5 bandagi and concentrate u will get all answer of ur questions . its take time but--------.i once again highly recommend to close these types of sites which create confusion to many non muslims, non ismailies and even sometime ismailies too like "imam is god or not" as appearing in current issue

I agree that putting faramans on the web-site may not be the right thing to do. Now a days it is NOT permisible to take farman books out of JK or make copies of the farmans and that is very clearly written on the faraman books. Here are few of the reasons why I think Farmans are for Ismailis only:
1. Most non-ismailis do not understand the importance of the Farmans or of Hazar Imam.
2. If the farmans were for everybody (not Ismailis only) then non-ismailis would be allowed to attend when Imam give didar and farman.
3. People who do not understand Ismailism might mis-interpret the farman.

There is an story about SMS (I don't know the source). Once a man who was loosing his hair asked SMS for help. SMS gave him the name of a medicine to be applied on the head everyday. The man did as he was told and when asked by a friend, told him the name of the medicine. The friend used the medicine and lost all his hair. The friend came and complainted to the man about what had happened. The man replied that he had Imam's blessings with the medicine versus his friend only had the medicine.

As for other material, most of it is available in print to everybody. The web-site like FIELD helps (mostly Ismailis) get the information. There are always going to be people (Ismailis or non-Ismailis) who will misuse the information, whether it is on a web-site or printed.

Even Hazar Imam has said - that there is good, bad and mediocre information available. You need to be able to sift through it.
