Ya Ali madad! This is a good question, and requires a long and thorough explanation. Since I will be getting this question quite a bit, I will write an essay refuting the foundations of the other branches of Islam and proving Ismailism. Please give me at most a week to do so, since my final exams ar...

Ya Ali madad! I am still exporing Shi'asm, and I would like to state that I'm not in much of a rush to get officially recognized if I choose ismailism. The fact that I now recognize the light that shines through my soul is something that is priceless, whether I have a piece of paper recognizing it o...

Ya Ali madad! I've emailed you dear brother Baqi. Zubair, I do not believe you understand. I understand that you are trying to be kind, but you do not understand nor respect our paths. We both have attained a level of faith, but we must have logic to back ourselves, both are necessary for a powerful...

Thanks, your points cleared up lots of my questions. A few things though. Quran states "Allahu Nuru Samawati wal Ardh" "Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth." This explains the Immanent aspect of God. But that would be a Twelver belief (Ali is the first light and conti...

Using logic to rationalize Ismaili beliefs?

Assalamu-aleikum wa-rehmetullahi wa-barakatoh, Ya Ali Madad! I would like to thank all the brothers and sisters on here, so far they have been of an immense help. I am now convinced to an extent that Ismailism is historically correct in regards its Imamate and so forth, however its beliefs, though c...

Ya Ali Madad!

Is there any other detailed history on Qalam-e-Mowla? I mean, outside of the Imam (AS), how is its authenticity proven? Does it have any parallel narrations with Najul'Balagha, perhaps? Also, doesn't it mention an Indian king in it?

Ya Ali madad! I'm not sure about the others, but "History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire", is an old and natively-written English work of history, and is considered a classic and a milestone. It is available free online thanks to Project Gutenburg: http://www.gutenberg.org/bro...

Assalamu-aleikum wa-rehmetullahi wa-barakatoh, Ya Ali madad! Thank you so much for your responses. I appreciate them beyond words. They have brought even further questions! Brother/sister kmaherali, you stated that truth follows the Imam, and not the other way around. While I certainly see the merit...

Personal questioning regarding Ismailism

Assalamu-aleikum wa-rehmetullahi wa-barakatoh, Ya Ali Madad! I need help regarding Ismailism, and if anyone here could help, I would be in extreme debt to them. I was born into a Sunni family, and later became a Twelver. In Sunnism, I could not understand how our shariah and sufism combined, they se...
